As Season 2 of the Sphero Global Challenge comes to an end, we’re thrilled to announce the finalist teams that will advance to the Sphero World Championship this month! This season’s theme – Heroes Among Us – truly captured the heroic mindsets of these teams as they put their programming and engineering skills to the test to solve problems for others and their communities. 

The Sphero Global Challenge is an exciting opportunity for students to be a part of no matter their age, grade level, or programming ability! Not only do they practice coding, design, and problem-solving skills, they get the chance to build and strengthen their innovative thinking and collaboration skills. In the setting of a team challenge, students use the engineering design process in an authentic way to work through challenges and solve problems. 

In Season 2, 225 registered teams across all grade levels from 15 countries. Teams in the top 10% of scoring in the Sphero Global Challenge and the top team from each country were invited to the Sphero World Championship.
